Lithuanian singer-songwriter, guitarist and performer combining the tradition of poetic song with contemporary acoustic pop-rock.
A Lithuanian singer-songwriter and concert artist working in the literary acoustic tradition — composing intimate, listening-focused concerts where silence is treated as an instrument.
Justinas Stanislovaitis is a Lithuanian singer-songwriter, composer and concert artist based in Vilnius. His artistic direction sits in the literary acoustic tradition associated with Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Peter Gabriel and Sting — interpretations of those writers performed alongside his own original songwriting. The flagship concert programme, “Between Silence and Light”, is the concentrated expression of that direction.
“Between Silence and Light” (Lithuanian: "Tarp tylos ir šviesos") is a 75–90 minute seated acoustic concert. The format is duo — voice and acoustic guitar with brushed percussion — with optional accordion on certain interpretations. The programme is built around restraint: songs performed at the volume of conversation, with silence between the songs treated as a deliberate part of the listening experience.
The interpretations are drawn from a small canon. Leonard Cohen is the constant — the slowest part of the evening, used to bring the room down to its own quiet. Nick Cave is the weight — declamatory, dark, arriving after Cohen has settled the audience. Peter Gabriel is the architecture — the textures, the patience with the build. Sting closes the circle with harmonic literacy and the European reference. Between and after these four, original songs in Lithuanian and English grow in the same soil.
“Between Silence and Light” is written for rooms that already know how to listen. Recent performances span Switzerland, Austria, Lithuania and the wider EU — concert halls, theatres, embassies and curated cultural series. In 2026 the same programme is being introduced to Asian cultural institutions: Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong. The artist works with cultural foundations (Goethe-Institut, Korea Foundation, Asia-Europe Foundation, National Arts Council Singapore among others), refined hospitality residences (Aman, Rosewood, Mandarin Oriental, Capella), gallery and museum programmes, and curated literary venues.
Alongside the concert programme, Justinas performs live music for refined private and corporate events — weddings, anniversaries, gala dinners, embassy receptions, gallery openings and corporate evenings with a literary or cultural identity. The artistic approach is the same; the format adapts. Both directions share the same aesthetic vocabulary — restraint, atmosphere, attention to the audience as the third instrument — and are described in detail on the artist's website.
Across his career Justinas has developed several distinct creative directions. As the founder and leader of the band "Justin 3", he performed in Lithuania and internationally and released original music in which literary lyrics meet contemporary arrangements. Alongside performance, he composes music for film, theatre and collaborative projects — consistently exploring the relationship between narrative, atmosphere and emotional depth. His secondary project "Lithuanian Myths and Legends" works with the same literary impulse from a different musical angle.
The artist performs in Lithuanian and English. International audiences understand the programme without translation — it relies on silence and atmosphere as much as on words. For private and corporate engagements he works across Germany, Austria, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Switzerland; concert-programme engagements extend further across the EU and into Asia.
Today, Justinas continues to develop concert formats tailored to seated cultural venues, concert halls, curated series and an international audience that values depth, clarity and refined musical expression.
